Bank Jago Tbk has recorded a new customer base of up to 100,000 customers from GoPay Tabungan within three weeks after the financial product was launched.
“This momentum is only three weeks old (since the launch of GoPay Tabungan), and it’s very good. Now, there are around 100,000 new customers from GoPay Tabungan,” said Bank Jago’s President Director, Arief Harris Tandjung, to reporters at the “Launch of Jago Digital Academy” event at Menara BTPN, Jakarta, Thursday.
He said that GoPay Tabungan is a combination of e-money products with savings from banks or from two institutions. With the collaboration between GoPay and Bank Jago through the GoPay Tabungan product, he said that the public has the option to enjoy many things by utilizing the digital financial ecosystem.
Arief said that the presence of GoPay Tabungan is something interesting for the public or for users who have previously been at the mass market level but have simple banking needs. “That’s why they only use e-money, now they want to upgrade using GoPay Tabungan,” said Arief.
He said that an increase in the number of customers will be more noticeable when the product has been running for three to six months in the future.
Arief said they want new customers to increase as much as possible, supported by the number of GoPay application users which is recorded at 5 million. This number, he said, does not include the users of the GoTo (Gojek Tokopedia) application, which can reach tens of millions.
“We also don’t expect everyone, because there are people who may already have a banking relationship with a bank that they are happy with,” said Arief.
