Prabowo Subianto, the presidential candidate number 2, returned to his mother’s hometown in Langowan, Manado, North Sulawesi. He met with tens of thousands of his supporters. In Langowan, Prabowo also remembered his late mother, Dora Mari Sigar, by singing a song called ‘Sio Mama.’
“I am Prabowo Subianto, and half of my blood is Minahasa blood. My mother was born and raised in Langowan,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo then asked for permission from the tens of thousands of people who gathered at Lapangan Schwarz Lawongan, Manado, North Sulawesi, on Monday (5/2/2024) to sing ‘Sio Mama.’
“My mother’s land is here, and she is smiling at us now. I want to sing ‘Sio Mama’ for my mother,” he said.
The people who attended also joined in singing ‘Sio Mama.’ Wiranto, who was present with Prabowo, also sang along.
In addition to ‘Sio Mama’, Prabowo also sang ‘O Ina Ni Keke’ and ‘Poco-Poco’ while dancing to liven up the event titled ‘Prabowo Menyapa Kampung Halaman’ (Prabowo Greeting Hometown). (SENOPATI)
