Bogor – Mubalig and the leader of Pondok Pesantren Ora Aji, Sleman, Gus Miftah mentioned that the free lunch program for students in schools from the presidential and vice presidential candidates Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka is similar to the practice taught by Prophet Ibrahim AS in Islam.
He expressed this during the National Solidarity Gathering with Prabowo Subianto at Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Hambalang, Bogor, on Saturday (2/3/2024).
“We are reminded of a certain event when Prophet Ibrahim AS built the Ka’bah or renovated the Ka’bah with his son Ismail. After the Ka’bah was completed, Allah conveyed to Ibrahim, a single bite of rice in the stomach of a hungry or poor person is more pleasing to Allah than building the Ka’bah,” said Gus Miftah.
“So today we believe, How could Mr. Prabowo have a free meal program, perhaps inspired by Prophet Ibrahim AS,” added Gus Miftah.
Continuing the story, Prabowo said that the free lunch program is because he sees that almost 25% of children in Indonesia do not eat breakfast.
“Indeed, my program is lunch for Indonesian children. Why, nearly 25% do not eat breakfast every day. We have started a pilot program of free lunch in the Sukabumi area, specifically in Cikembang Village, two hours from the Capital,” said Prabowo.
In the pilot program, 3,000 students are provided lunch every day. “And the reality is that the children eat, but sometimes the side dishes are packaged and taken home for their families. This is just two hours from the Capital, I am not willing to see my country like this. How can it be, if elite leaders in Indonesia still fight among ourselves just to grab seats, whereas the fact is that the condition of our children is like this,” emphasized Prabowo. (SENOPATI)
