Prabowo Subianto, the presidential candidate number 2, appreciates the economic achievements made during President Joko Widodo’s leadership. He mentioned that the success can be seen in various aspects such as low inflation, trade balance, and manageable debt.
“In my opinion, the Jokowi administration has been quite successful and good in managing inflation,” said Prabowo during his attendance at the ‘Mandiri Investment Forum (MIF) 2024’ at the Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday (5/3).
During the event titled ‘Thriving through Transition’, Prabowo stated that Jokowi, as the president, always pays attention to details to meet macroeconomic criteria.
One of the efforts made by the Jokowi administration is to create pro-business policies and to support businesses run by economic players at all levels, from tycoons to village traders.
“We create business support, promote MSMEs, and encourage e-commerce for welfare, which is one of Pak Jokowi’s philosophies,” he said.
Prabowo also admitted that he has learned a lot about advancing the country’s economy and is optimistic about continuing Jokowi’s achievements.
“Our macroeconomics are vibrating, we are growing, and I am optimistic,” Prabowo said. (SENOPATI)
