Climate change not only causes droughts and extreme rainfall, but it is also melting the Earth’s ancient ice layers that have been frozen for thousands, even tens of thousands of years.
Many experts warn that the increasing global temperatures could potentially revive ancient viruses, leading to new pandemics affecting humans, animals, or plants.
Coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesia must remember the challenges faced during that time and prioritize investing in healthcare infrastructure to better prepare for future pandemics.
