Jakarta – A significant moment took place when the president-elect for the 2024-2029 term, Prabowo Subianto, had a meeting with the Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, at Prabowo’s residence on Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Thursday (April 25).
During the meeting, the two shared a handshake, and onlookers exclaimed “official!” This moment occurred as Prabowo and Surya were engaged in conversation in one of the rooms at Prabowo’s residence.
Prabowo, wearing batik attire, even wrapped his arm around Surya’s shoulder. They both showed broad smiles and happy faces.
Following the meeting, Surya, dressed in a blue suit, formally announced NasDem’s support for Prabowo-Gibran. He affirmed that his party stands behind the new government under their leadership.
“So, with spirit, enthusiasm, sincerity of heart, and great soul, NasDem today declares and reaffirms its support for the new government under the leadership of Prabowo-Gibran,” said Surya Paloh.
Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the support given by Surya Paloh, stressing that all forces must unite to progress Indonesia.
“The strongest force that can come together for the people amidst global dynamics is highly anticipated,” he stated.
“Thank you Mr. Surya, thank you NasDem, we are delighted to have you with us,” Prabowo added.
