The Minister of Defense (Menhan) of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, was warmly welcomed by high-ranking Jordanian officials upon his arrival at Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan on Monday (10/6).
Prabowo was greeted with a red carpet and a military honor guard from the Jordanian army as he descended from the plane. He arrived at Queen Alia Airport at 08:35 local time or around 10:00 WIB, dressed in a grey suit and black sunglasses.
Among those welcoming Prabowo at the airport were the Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Ibrahim Mashhour Al Jazi, Governor of Amman Yasser Al-Adwan, Mayor of Amman Yousef Sawarbeh, and the Indonesian Defense Attaché for Egypt in Cairo, Colonel Kav Aria Sanggita Saleh.
After the reception, Prabowo and the Jordanian officials proceeded to The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Amman, Jordan.
Prabowo’s visit to Amman, Jordan, is on behalf of Indonesian President Joko Widodo to attend the high-level conference “Call for Action: Urgent Humanitarian Response for Gaza,” organized by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United Nations on June 11, 2024.
