Jakarta – Minister of Defense Prabowo reported the outcomes of his attendance at the High-Level Conference in Jordan and official visit to Saudi Arabia to President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, June 13.
During the meeting with the media, Prabowo highlighted the discussion at the summit in Jordan, focusing on humanitarian aid preparation in anticipation of a ceasefire. He also emphasized the importance of encouraging other countries to influence global opinion in persuading Israel to halt its attacks on Gaza.
Prabowo noted that several European countries have shown support for Palestine, pushing for its acceptance as a UN member and proposing a ceasefire at the UN Security Council without any veto.
Highlighting the potential isolation of Israel in the international community if it rejects a ceasefire, Prabowo called for Hamas to also agree to a ceasefire for the welfare of its people.
