Induk Organisasi Tenis Meja Indonesia dan Dunia

Tennis is one of the popular sports in the world, including in Indonesia. In Indonesia, this sport is regulated by the All-Indonesian Table Tennis Association (PTMSI), while globally, table tennis falls under the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).

The history of table tennis in Indonesia dates back to 1939 when the “All-Indonesian Ping Pong Association” (PPPSI) was established to oversee table tennis athletes in Indonesia. In 1958, the name was changed to the “All-Indonesian Table Tennis Association” (PTMSI) during a congress in Surakarta, Central Java. This name is still used today.

PTMSI is an official member of the Asian Table Tennis Federation (TTFA) and the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), which showcases the existence of Indonesian table tennis on the Asian and world stage.

On the global level, the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) was established in 1926 to regulate and manage table tennis worldwide. It sets official rules used in international tournaments, including world championships and the Olympics. The ITTF monitors the development of table tennis in over 200 member countries, including Indonesia.

Both the PTMSI and ITTF play a crucial role in advancing table tennis at the national and international levels. They work together to ensure the continuous development of the sport and produce competitive athletes on the world stage.
