Jakarta – President-elect and Chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, sent his congratulations to the Labor Party on its 3rd anniversary through a video message.
“I, Prabowo Subianto, want to congratulate all the cadres of the Labor Party who are celebrating the third year since the party was founded. I apologize for not being able to attend in person, as I had prior commitments,” Prabowo said in the video played at the ‘3rd Anniversary of the Labor Party’ event at Istora Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (18/9).
Prabowo mentioned that he has been fighting for the rights and welfare of laborers, farmers, fishermen, and all Indonesian citizens, especially those who have not yet fully benefitted from prosperity.
“For years, I have been fighting for economic justice alongside farmers in HKTI, KTNA (Kontak Tani Nelayan Andalan), and Tani Merdeka,” Prabowo continued.
He emphasized that his fight is for an economic system based on Pancasila and family values, not for a capitalist or neoliberal economy that goes against Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.
“I advocate for the Pancasila economy, a family-based economy, not for neoliberal capitalism, which often goes against Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution,” Prabowo stressed.
He also called on all Indonesians to work together in building a progressive nation.
“Indonesia will become a developed country. We need to properly manage our nation’s wealth and be courageous in facing challenges and combating corruption,” Prabowo concluded. (RR)
