Pangandaran Kabupaten has recorded an extraordinary achievement during the 2025 Eid holiday season with a fantastic Regional Original Revenue (PAD) reaching Rp9 billion in just eight days. This achievement has shed important light on the development of the tourism sector and demonstrates the success of sustainable tourism development strategies. Chairman of the Pangandaran Regency DPRD, Asep Noordin H.M.M., appreciates this achievement, stating that this success is inseparable from the continuity of leadership between the former Regent, Jeje Wiradinata, and the current Regent, Hj. Citra Pitriyami.
The surge in PAD is influenced by the increasing number of tourists visiting Pangandaran’s flagship destinations during the long holiday season. This is the result of the strategic program implementation since Regent Jeje’s leadership, especially in tourism infrastructure development, improving accessibility between destinations, and integrating tourism areas more effectively. Asep stated that the foundation of development laid by Regent Jeje has long-term positive impacts, managed well by Regent Citra at present.
The synergy between these two leaders is seen as the key to success, creating a progressive and smooth leadership transition. Asep emphasizes that the continuity of programs between leadership is an essential element in effective governance, setting a good example at the district and national levels. Support from the community, business players, and other stakeholders is also crucial in the development of the tourism sector in Pangandaran, creating a highly competitive tourism ecosystem.
