Reportedly, the American version will be directed by David Fincher and scripted by Dennis Kelly. David Fincher, known for action films like Gone Girl and Fight Club, as well as the series Mindhunter, is a prominent Hollywood director. Meanwhile, Dennis Kelly achieved success with Utopia, a conspiracy drama with strong social criticism.
Undoubtedly, Squid Game America will have a different setting and culture from South Korea. Nevertheless, the original concept will still be incorporated into this American version.
