Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the vice presidential candidate number two from the Koalisi Indonesia Maju, emphasized the importance of supporting the creative economic industry, particularly by providing easy financing facilities.
Gibran noted that the creative economic industry has experienced rapid growth during the Covid-19 pandemic and continues to thrive. Therefore, it is crucial for the government to continue its support, especially in nurturing start-ups.
He cited an example in Solo where a special start-up program in local banks provides assistance with initial capital. This initiative aims to facilitate young entrepreneurs in developing their businesses, especially when they lack assets that can be used as collateral.
During an interview titled “Info A1 This Time Gibran Talks Long, Ready for Debate?” on YouTube, Gibran highlighted the significance of Bank Jateng’s special start-up program in providing access to capital without collateral for start-ups without assets.
He further emphasized that this program could serve as a model for the government to streamline access to funding for players in the creative industry nationwide.
“This program is already in place, and we need to nationalize it,” he concluded. (SENOPATI)
