Jakarta — Minister of Defense Indonesia and President-elect for the 2024-2029 period, Prabowo Subianto, hosted a Halal Bihalal event to celebrate Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri in his residence on Jl Kertanegara No. 4, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (10/4).
Guests arrived at Prabowo’s residence, including Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka, with his wife and children.
Prabowo personally greeted Gibran upon his arrival. They had a conversation in the living room, where Prabowo also welcomed other guests in attendance.
“Minal aidin wal faidzin,” Gibran said as he shook hands with Prabowo.
Other notable guests included Retired Police General Boy Rafli Amar, Chairman of the Golkar Party Advisory Council Aburizal Bakrie, Chairman of the National Mandate Party Zulkifli Hasan, Chairman of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno.
Guests at Prabowo’s residence enjoyed traditional Eid dishes such as ketupat (rice cake) and opor (coconut milk curry), fruit juice, siomay (dumplings), and other delicacies.
Accompanied by music, Prabowo also took the opportunity to take photos with the guests, shake hands, and exchange apologies.
“Please accept my apologies, for any actions or words amiss,” Prabowo said, warmly greeting each guest.
Earlier in the day, Prabowo performed the Eid al-Fitr prayer with residents in the Bojong Koneng area, Bogor, West Java.
He then visited President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, at the State Palace and Vice President of Indonesia, KH Ma’ruf Amin.
