Indonesia’s Minister of Defense and President-Elect for 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto, is optimistic about the progress of the Nusantara Capital project. After attending a Cabinet Meeting in East Kalimantan, Prabowo commented on the promising atmosphere in the capital and expressed his determination to accelerate the development.
Prabowo believes that with the collaboration of experts, the Nusantara Capital (IKN) could be fully operational within 4-5 years, despite the project’s lengthy timeline. As the President-Elect, Prabowo has emphasized his commitment to completing the capital in alignment with President Joko Widodo’s vision and mission.
Acknowledging President Jokowi’s role as the initiator of the project, Prabowo stated his intention to continue and potentially finish the Nusantara Capital. He emphasized the importance of mobilizing experts and resources to ensure the successful functioning of the capital within the specified timeframe.
