Jakarta — Mardiono, the Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP), has announced his full support for the upcoming administration of President and Vice President-elect Prabowo-Gibran for the term 2024-2029.
During a political courtesy visit at Prabowo’s residence on Jl. Kertanegara No. 4, South Jakarta, on Thursday evening (15/8), Mardiono directly conveyed his commitment to Prabowo.
“PPP has no other motive but to assist the elected President Mr. Prabowo Subianto in executing the planned programs that the Indonesian people eagerly anticipate, especially in enhancing the welfare of the Indonesian people,” said Mardiono following the meeting.
“Hence, PPP is dedicated to supporting the government led by the new President, Mr. Prabowo Subianto,” he added.
Furthermore, Mardiono affirmed his commitment to backing the organization of local elections at the provincial and municipal levels.
“We have an agreement with the Gerindra Party to cooperate in the local elections, both at the provincial and municipal levels, which has been ongoing since the selection processes for these elections,” Mardiono stated.
Mardiono and the PPP delegation also expressed their appreciation for the warm reception during their brief political courtesy visit.
“We are grateful for the hospitality extended to us at the residence of the President-elect, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, for this meeting,” Mardiono said.
